Using Art as A Reflective Tool
Led by Sarah Parker —Art Therapist
Monday 4th April 1-4pm
ONLINE
Learn about the value of using art as a reflective tool with our online workshop. The workshop is experiential, allowing participants to engage in art activities that provides a different way of approaching a difficulty, opening you up to resources you already have, but don’t commonly access. The activities are primarily focused on personal use, but you will also explore how this technique might work with clients and staff that you may support.
This training will include…
- An experiential workshop leading you through exercises to use art to reflect on something that is challenging, or you feel stuck on at work.
- Exercises involving breathing techniques, visualisation and art making.
- Group discussion and exploration of how you can use these techniques outside of the workshop.
- Using art materials of your choosing.
- A look at the theory underpinning these exercises.
For this workshop, you will need…
- An environment that is quiet and private to create a relaxing and safe environment where people feel free to share their experiences. This may be easier to find in the home.
- Space to make art on and some basic art materials like coloured pencils, pastels, crayons or anything else you would like to use. Plus, some paper to draw on.
Please note that this workshop is ONLINE using TEAMS. Joining instructions will be sent out via email following booking confirmation
