“It is in playing and only in playing that the individual child or adult is able to be creative and to use the whole personality, and it is only in being creative that the individual discovers the self.” Donald W. Winnicott

Welcome to The Bungalow Partnership

We are delighted to welcome you to The Bungalow Partnership website. We are a registered charity whose aims are to support children, young people and families across the Tees Valley area.

Our website provides key information about our therapeutic work with children and young people and the different services we provide. You can explore the range of services we provide and meet our amazing team of professionals who strive to make the lives of others easier. We are proud of the outcomes that we achieve through our partnership work with children, families, schools, local authorities and virtual schools.

The late Rod Lyall, our former Director, founded The Bungalow Partnership with the simple vision that ‘if we could help, then we should’. This is the foundation of our ethos here at The Bungalow Partnership and we are therefore grateful for all our partnerships and the voluntary contributions and sponsorship activities that allow us to continue to strive for better outcomes for young people and families and to continue to help where we can.

We hope that our website provides a flavour of our work and we welcome any interest from schools or services who would like to join the partnership.

New Year - New Opportunities for Corporate Sponsorship of our charity and its work

Last Year we had two amazing local businesses supporting our charity, Chapel Middlesbrough and Lionweld Kennedy. With the funds raised by both businesses we were able to reach more local families and support more local children. To continue developing our support for families we are therefore keen to hear from any local businesses who would like to fundraise on our behalf. We would also welcome in-kind sponsorship such as printing services, stationary, play and art resources and/or room hire/ storage. There are many ways in which you can support the work of The Bungalow Partnership and we’d love to hear from you if you share our mission to make the lives of local children and young people better ?

A Massive Thank You to Lionweld Kennedy

We wanted to say a huge thanks to Lionweld Kennedy for their wonderful donation of £290.00 towards the work of the charity.
We are always especially proud of the corporate sponsorship of local businesses big and small. When we are supported by businesses such as Lionweld Kennedy we know that not only do these local businesses give back to the local community, they are also just as motivated as we are to make a better future for children and young people. This is evidenced in Lionweld Kennedy’s success in delivering apprenticeships for local people and in their amazing gesture of supporting wellbeing of local families by sponsoring both The Bungalow Partnership and Matrix Neurological. Lionweld Kennedy thanks for your support ?

Festive Care To Share

We are running our Festive Care to Share Appeal again this Christmas where with your help we will ensure that those families most in need receive a food, toy and wellbeing hamper to support them over Christmas. All children should get to feel the magic of Christmas and their adults should be able to provide this with dignity. If you can, please help us to raise funds to provide Festive Care Packages to local families in need. Hold a Christmas Jumper Day, Cake or book Sale or donate to us in lieu of sending cards.

We aim to support local families in need who would otherwise be struggling to provide basic essentials for their family. We want to ensure those families most in need receive food and toy hampers that allow them to experience the magic of Christmas.

We have a night of music, food and celebration planned at Chapel in Middlesbrough (one of our amazing corporate sponsors). We’d love to see you there ?

Covid 19 – Update.

The team are delighted to be resuming face to face support week commencing 7th September. We will however be making available a range of PPE to ensure the safety of all children, young people, families, Bungalow Team members and professionals. Our online/virtual methods are still available for those who would prefer this. Our updated Covid 19 policy and risk assessments are available on request. The Bungalow office and therapy rooms have been made Covid secure and we appreciate everyone’s patience and compliance in helping us to reduce the footfall in our office. To enable us to do this all visits must be by appointment only.
