Breathing pattern disorders are unfortunately on the increase and research indicates a direct link
with disordered breathing, sleep, and mental health issues.
75% of people who suffer from anxiety have dysfunctional breathing patterns and there is also a
direct link to dysfunctional breathing and depression.
Functional breathing can lead to better sleep and can help to regulate our entire nervous system.
When our bodies are in a coherent regulation our overall health is optimised for a greater quality of
life.
This training will enable you to…
• Understand the importance of functional breathing and difficulties emerging from
dysfunctional breathing patterns.
• Identify the links between dysfunctional breathing and mental health difficulties.
• Explore how breathing regulation and re-education can improve wellbeing and sleep.
